There are extremes indeed in Marin, however, if you buy properties in Marin with a long term perspective, they will appreciate.

Also, baywood terrace and other such developments in Marin or around the Bay Area do start by being located close to less desirable areas but that usually tends to lift the area in the long run. Case in point, there are houses right next to $500K houses that have sold for $1+ in the last two years.

Thought I'd add some balancing arguments.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14348191.post-1157262635152322862006-09-02T22:50:00.000-07:002006-09-02T22:50:00.000-07:00I wonder why they didn't drop to $1.3 Million, to ...I wonder why they didn't drop to $1.3 Million, to the purchase price...probably because they liberated the equity and now they're stuck.astridhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05456702342792728875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14348191.post-1156604183851133232006-08-26T07:56:00.000-07:002006-08-26T07:56:00.000-07:00the snowball has started rolling in the foothills ...the snowball has started rolling in the foothills and it is on its way.driving back from the sierras i heard ads from a builder in lincoln announcing a "half off" sale every five minutes.milliion dollar homes now from $500k.these were on several stations.the thought of a million dollar home in lincoln is bizarre ...and somehow half off doesn't entice me...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14348191.post-1156556755155607202006-08-25T18:45:00.000-07:002006-08-25T18:45:00.000-07:00Dataquick.com is a online service that gives you h...Dataquick.com is a online service that gives you historical data. That place has nothing going for it - looks like white vinyl windows, bamboo (can we get any cheaper?) floors, crap siding, long commute...and they want 1.5 million for it? You can get a real nice place in the Berkeley Hills for that price - great views, close to shopping, walk to BART, and no trees that might catch fire (they already did).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14348191.post-1156545793146065452006-08-25T15:43:00.000-07:002006-08-25T15:43:00.000-07:00two newbie questions:How does one get the loan det...two newbie questions:

How does one get the loan details?
