And Now for Something Completely Different...

All around West Mulberry Street,

Homeowners were in trouble.
Greenspan thought 'twas all in fun,
Pop! goes the bubble.

A half-a-mill for a fixer-up,
This house is nearly rubble.
If prices don’t soon level off,
Pop! goes the bubble.

Make your payments and don't be late,
And never ask for trouble.
That’s the way the money goes,
Pop! goes the bubble.

Half a buck for tuppenney rice,
Inflation’s really double.
Eat it slow and make it last,
Pop! goes the bubble.
